True Enough
BackYeah. Amber on vocals. Everyone deals with shit differently. Break-ups, divorce, death, the feelings of rejection....anger, happiness, fear, etc. I process my thoughts and emotions through art and music. I am no different than anyone else, I just wear my emotions on my sleeve. The song is about loneliness and being with someone just to have the feeling of being loved and to not be alone. Some women stay with abusive men. Some men stay with women who cheat on them and whose jealousies make them miserable. WHY? Perhaps from the basic fear of being alone? I dunno. Anyway, the reference to the art museum is my personal analogy of all my failed relationships with women. I liken myself to an art museum as I constantly am doing, making, constructing, or thinking about art. Hence, I am like an art museum.... ALWAYS doing art. Most people like to visit an art museum, but no one really thinks of it as a good place to live. Hence, the perfect analogy for me. My relationships are based on perceptions of me. A poet, artist, punk, teacher.. yet sometimes I think women forget I am just like they are. With the same feelings, faults, etc. I'm not fun all the time. Usually when a woman discovers that I am just a regular guy and not what they mistakenly glorified me to be, then they pull away or leave. HAHAHAHA!!! USUALLY, but not always:) A disclaimer should be that the photo of the girl in the video is not a woman who has wronged me in any way, shape, or form. In high contrast, she has helped me to understand more about myself and has helped me to process my feelings. I thank her for that. I guess I could EXPLAIN all the symbolism and crap in the video, but then if I did that, it would cease to be art. Art must be interpreted by each individual and must stand on its own merit WITHOUT explanation:) HAHAHA!!!! Perhaps I have written too much then:)
