Over My Head Ch. 41
Back[A/N: Its later that day, Rory and Kaya have already left] --That Afternoon-- Nathan: So is everyone ready to go? Layla: Yeah, Nick, Joe and I will be waiting outside... Kevin: Okay, we'll be right out. (Layla, Nick, and Joe go and wait outside) Nick: (brings out two buckets) This is gonna be good. Layla: Honestly, we are way too brilliant. Joe: Wait for it.... wait for it.... (They see Taylor, Kevin, and Nathan walk out of the cabin) NOW (Layla, Nick, and Joe start throwing water balloons at them and then burst out laughing) Nathan: Ugh... you guys are good.. Kevin: 3-3... guess it's a tie. Joe: Yeah, I guess... (They walk over to the side of the car and then come back, each holding a box) Or we could just finish things off... Nick: Yeah, I like Joe's idea better. Taylor: What's in the boxes? Layla: Guess you're gonna find out, huh? Nathan: This can't be good. (They start to open the boxes revealing a whole bunch of eggs and they start throwing them at Nathan, Kevin, and Taylor) Nathan: (Trying to wipe himself off) YOU EGGED US?! Layla: 4-3... and yes, yes we did! Taylor: ewwww... we smell bad. (Nick, Joe, and Layla laugh) Kevin: (wiping himself off) You do realize you guys are going to have to sit with us for like 3 hours. Layla: We had a feeling you'd say that. Kevin: What do you mean? Layla: Boys? (Nick and Joe pick us two hoses and turn them on. They start to hose Taylor, Kevin, and Nathan down) Taylor: (screaming) TURN IT OFF! (They turn it off) Taylor: So... COLD! I'm gonna kill you three! (Nick, Joe, and Layla high-five) Joe: 5-3... I think that pretty much makes us the champions! Kevin: You can't do that! Taylor: Yeah! You can't just pull off three pranks! Layla: But we just did. Nathan: Now we're going to be wet all the way back home. Joe: You probably should've thought about that before you messed with us. Layla: Now... Nick: Admit... Joe: We're the champions. Taylor: (rolls her eyes) Fine! You win... (goes to the car and take out her bag) Nathan: Nicely played...Get my bag too. Kevin: Mine too. (The three of them get their bags and go back inside the cabin to change. Once they are done, they all get in the car and drive back home) --1 1/2 Hours later-- Nathan: Someone shut him up! Joe: (signing) 32 bottles of beer on the wall. 32 bottles of beer. You take one-(he gets him in the head) OW, TAYLOR!! Taylor: I had to shut you up. Joe: Ugh, now I lost count... oh well, FROM THE BEGINNING! (everyone groans) Layla: Hey, Joe? Joe: What? Layla: Have you ever thought about how every picture you take is a picture of when you were younger? Joe: Whoa...(gets silent) Kevin: (looks back and gasps) How'd you do that? Layla: Magic. Nick: (puts his arm around Layla) Yeah, but it should only last another 5 minutes. Layla: (leans her head against his chest) It's okay, I have more... (A couple minutes minutes pass) Joe: I'm bored. Layla: Joe, I have a question for you. Joe: Okay, shoot. Layla: What would happen if you found a four-leaf clover under a ladder? (Joe gets quiet again) Kevin: Wow... you're really good at that. Layla: (laughs) Thanks. --2 hours later-- (They reach Nathan, Layla, and Taylor's house) Kevin: Hey thanks for planning this whole thing, Nathan. Joe: Yeah, thanks man. It was good to just get away for a while. Nathan: No problem, anytime. Nick: Hey, why don't you guys come to our barbeque on Saturday? [A/N: today is thursday] Taylor: You guys are having a barbeque? Kevin: Are mom is throwing it... She's inviting family friends and the band and stuff. Joe: Yeah, you guys should come. Nathan: Yeah, sure thing... See you guys on Saturday. (goes inside) Taylor: (hugs them all) Bye. (goes inside as well. Layla: (hugs Kevin and Joe) see you guys later. Kevin: (turns to Joe) Why don't we go wait in the car? Joe: Fine... (turns to Nick) You better not try anything... Kevin: (shakes his head) come on Joe... (pulls him away) Nick: (laughing) So did you have fun? Layla: Are you kidding? It was amazing! Nick: (smiles) Hey, now that we're officially going out, I was thinking we should probably go on our official first date. Layla: (smiles) I'd like that. Nick: How about Sunday? Layla: Sure, sounds good. But why Sunday? Nick: We have to practice a bit tomorrow and do some interviews. And then Saturday is the barbeque... unless you want the barbeque to be our first date. Layla: It's okay, I can wait till Sunday, don't worry. (smiles and kisses him) Bye. Nick: (smiles) Bye. (Layla goes inside and Nick goes to the car) Go check out 42!!!
