Scrubbers in the Square
BackOctober 1st a Wednesday evening and the National Gallery is open to the public free until 9pm. So a view of some paintings, a listen to the twelve-string lute and singer in the Sainsbury wing and then out into the square where they have been cleaning statues and fountains. The place is gleaming, the night air is crisp and the air is punctuated with the usual police cars dashing around.
