Practice Long Ek ONG Kar with Zuni Blue
BackPlease get ready for the loud EK in the very beginning - Zuni Blue does want to get you startled. Smiles. Ek - One Ong - Everything (manifested/non-manifested) Kar - Doer Sat - Truth Nam - Name Siri - Great Wahe - Ecstasy Guru - God Here are 3 repetitions only as Zuni Blue prompts you with her arm movements how to direct your mind and energy while singing this mantra. (In actual singing just sit with the spine erect easy pose, hands in Jnani mudra - thumb and index finger together; - and observe the space inside). Don't be surprised about the eyes closed. A lot of Kundalini Yoga is done in this way, since it is the journey inside your consciousness that matters. The mantra called "Long Ek ONG Kar" because it takes a long time - close to a minute and longer to sing one repetition of the 8 words. (Actually it is a shorter version of the mantra introduced to you in "Your Voice is your Ecstasy" video). This mantra is sang on 2,5 breaths. Two big breaths for Ek Ong Kar and Sat Nam Siri - pronounced almost on aspiration and half breath for Wahe Guru. On "EK" and "SAT" in the beginning of each of the big breaths - You push the navel in and pull the mulabhand (the root lock) in and up the spine - creating a little EXPLOSION of the energy in the lower triangle (lower three energy centers corresponding to earth, water, fire elements), on "ONG" you vibrate the energy of that explosion up the Spine, all the way to the crown of your head, especially vibrating the sound "NG" on the top of your head, right under the scull. (The scull sutures get the awesomest massage this way). on "KAR" you direct energy of your fire center - Manipura - your physical self and physical will,- center - forward - it represents your will and energy pouring into the projects and "doings" at hand; on "NAM" you pour your love through your heart out to the world and all creation, and through the top of the head - you pour your love and appreciation toward the divine up above; "SIRI" opens up a passage of your throat - in a way archetypically - big gates - alongside of the Chinese wall or historical Berlin Wall; Wahe Guru - merges you into Bliss of God. Singing this mantra for 7 to 11 minutes everyday will multiply Grace in your life. If you need to cleanse your living space you may want to sing it in 4 directions accumulating to 31 minutes. I have known a young man who practiced this mantra for 2,5 hours daily very satisfied with the personal evolution he has undergone.
