Chasing the Nittany and Bald Eagle

Back

June 9, 2008: Continuing the chase of Lycoming Valley GP35 503 with a great Leslie RS-2M horn and the train of lime hoppers, Nittany and Bald Eagle (NBER) BT-9 first passes Vail, PA, and is then seen heading through Port Matilda with a crossing protection, a maintainer was working on the gates. The primary chase road was US-220, which is 55 MPH, as opposed to the NBER 35 MPH, and we pass it en route to the next stop: Julian; an old signal tower makes the backdrop. Finally, Lycoming Valley RR GP35 503 passes a desolate crossing near Unionville. Enjoy the chase!
