SaGa Frontier 2 - Tone Lord
BackThe Tone Lord is a punk who, perhaps appropriately, gets unique music. Equip something that resists Sonic and he will be relatively harmless. He can only attack twice or use a spell art three times. Titus Greaves will also resist Earth Beat, but I don't have any. Either way, he's pretty pathetic and surviving 15 rounds is no problem, not to mention just killing him with my weakest dueler. *Duel Edelritter fights: Each Edelritter you defeat decreases the final bosses' abilities significantly. The Beast, Stone, Tree, and Tone Lords must be fought as duels. You can either power your way through the 20K+ HP the Edelritter has or survive for 15 turns to win. The first character in your sub party will be the character selected for the fight. Beware, as you will lose them for the rest of the mission and there's no turning back after an Edelritter room. This leaves the obvious question of which Edelritter should be fought, but fortunately the answer is easy: Tree and Stone Lords. They increase the power of the final boss significantly. The Stone Lord gives him a move that petrifies ALL of your characters, and AFAIK you can only get three equipments that resist petrify, one of which is, spitefully, the Eternal Rock. If the boss' use of the Tree Lord's power just does a ton of damage. The Tone and Beast Lord powers for the final boss are relatively harmless. Couple that with the fact that the Beast Lord is the second hardest fight in the game (after the final boss) and it should seal the deal.
