Who are you? (38)
BackI threw the last bit of clothing in my bag and zipped it up. I needed to get away, just for a day so I could get back to normal. I scribbled a note and left it on my pillow. 'hey dont worry about me Im only going to be gone for a few days to clear my head and to get things back to normal. There are to many memories in LA at the moment and I need to have some time away. I will be back soon, love Elle' I grabbed my bag and tiptoed down the stairs and took one last look at the house before I closed the door behind me and hailed a taxi. It was a really long ride to San Diego and cost quite a bit of money. Stupid taxi. It dropped me off at the hotel I was planning to stay in. after checking in I sat down on the bed and checked my phone. I had heaps of missed calls and text messages. I just turned it off. I didnt want them to find me. I just wanted some time alone to clear my head and get everything back to normal. Plus I would be back home soon in a few days. I spent those days walking around the city and clearing my head. I was just thinking about everything that had happened. I reached a bridge and I walked into the middle of it. I looked at all the cars underneath me moving, moving on with their lives like nothing was wrong. I needed to move on, be strong and do what Michael and Kim would have wanted me to do. Before I went home I had one stop to make in San Diego. I knocked on the door and a lady with a worn face answered the door. She stepped forward and embraced me in a hug. I hugged her back and we walked in side. "Elle, its so nice to see you" she smiled "You too Mrs. James" Mrs. James was Kim and Michaels mother. I spent a few hours with her talking before she hailed me a taxi and I started the long ride home. When I enter my house my mum basically tackled me with hugs. "Honey, where have you been!" she said "I just needed to get out of here for a while, I saw Kims mum" "In San Diego?" I nodded. "Joe has been worried about you" My mum said "Whats he said?" "Hes just been worried about where you are" "Ill talk to him later, right I know I need rest" I said as I walked up stairs.
