Radio Controlled B-17 bomber QB-17 drone explosion version B
BackThis is rare footage of a converted B-17 bomber used as a QB-17 target drone. It appears to be the target of the Mighty Mouse unguided air-to-air missile which was usually fired in salvoes. In this version I have zoomed in on a couple sections to show closeups. I have also posted the original footage without the zooms. I copied those footage from 16mm film and I have not been able to find any other such footage online, so this may be quite rare.
