The Ministry of Railways says the train will be tested without passengers, and will run continuously at five-minute intervals during the first 2 weeks. For the second half of July, all trains will run the route at 3 minutes intervals.China begun constructing the express line in July 2005, and the country has been testing it since March this year. The Beijing-Tianjin express railway is the country's first locally developed express railway, with a top speed of over 300 kilometers per hour. The 115 km journey will take just 27 minutes.
