Ural Mounted Tennis Ball Cannon
BackAdapting Plans for a Spudgun from the book Backyard Ballistics by William Gurstelle I made a Tennis Ball Cannon. I temporarily mounted it on the luggage rack of my Ural Gear-Up... it just seemed appropriate. The barrel is 36" of 2-1/2" PVC conduit, the chamber is 20" of 4" SCH40 PVC. The ingintion power supply is a 120KV self defense stun gun. The fuel is Berryman B-12 Carburetor cleaner. The firing sequnce is: 1. (not shown) with both ends open, blow compressed air through tube to evacuate combustion products from prior shot. 2. Insert tennis ball. 3. Spray 1.5 to 2 sec. of fuel. 4. Blow a couple of blasts of compressed air into combustion chamber. 5. Screw in breech plug. 6. Push fire button.
