Hydrogen peroxide concentration decomposition lab (1/2)

Back

This is a reaction that I recorded during a lab. The objective was to observe the reaction rate using many different factors. In this experiment my independent variable was concentration and the dependent was time. The experiment was at room temperature (about 70F). It is the chemical decomposition of 10ml of 6% concentration Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) combined with .50 grams of Manganese dioxide (MnO2) catalyst. The end result of this reaction is heat, Oxygen (O2) and water vapor (H2O). Please forgive the stutter; my mind wasn't in gear at the time. Enjoy!
