Help Preah Vihea, Cambodia
BackThis is an organization started by my family and friends to support Khmer military to protect and preserve Preah Vihea temple from invaders. Our Mission: To help provide food, clothing, shoes, raincoats, shampoos and soaps, papers/pens to write to their family at home, and other necessities for daily living. This is a huge public issue presently in South East Asia regarding the Preah Vihea Temple. Preah Vihea was built 900 years ago by 2 Khmer Kings and finally just got settled by International UNESCO that it belongs to Cambodia. A lady here in Siem Reap inspired hope for me when I found out that she sells the traditional Khmer fried bananas and makes less than $2per day, but still donates every dollar and reel she sells daily. She does this because she will do whatever it takes to help save preah vihear. Saving Preah Vihear should not be a political issue but is to preserve cultural heritage that the ancestors has left for us. My family and I will be going to Preah Vihear on Saturday to pass out the goods from money raised here in Cambodia, so please stay tuned for that video coming up. We will also make another trip to Preah Vihear from money raised from USA and Canada then will tape that as well. CTN has agreeded to help and will bring their camera crew to film. The way Help Preah Vihea organization works: -Organization will collect from friends and family on any donation amount. If anyone donates more than $5, they will receive a free t-shirt (shown in video). If you live in USA/Canada, I will make sure the shirt gets delivered to you by mid to end of August. (Remember, I am still in Cambodia and will not return back home to Long Beach, CA until then.)
