FIU's SPS AND Chemistry club unite to present... Quantum Leap day... 2! At the Miami Children's Museum of Science. July 4, 2008. Liquid Nitrogen is in the bowl, and the flower is dipped into it. Because of the extreme low temperature of the Liquid Nitrogen, it essentially stops the movement of the protons and the electrons of the atoms making up the flower. Because of this, it makes anything that touches it, essentially into a solid, thus... killing it! it's okay... the cops don't need to know.. shhh ;)
