There really isn't space in our society for a sports-lovin' roller-skatin' talking Bear that knows the ancient way of the Samurai, but you could have fooled Tony. By day, Tony watches televised Ice Hockey from afar. Josephine, his one human friend, collects his winnings from sports betting agencies. By night, Tony watches over the city. If you're a hooligan causing a ruckus, make sure your swifter than Tony's Katana (or Ice Hockey stick) and can run faster than Tony can glide. TRANSMEDIA and DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY The Journeys of Ideas Modern technology is revolutionizing the way ideas are conceived and distributed. The power is moving from people with money, to people with ideas. The opportunities offered by digital video cameras, image scanners, online video hosting sites and home editing suites amongst other things, ensures a type of fluidity from medium to medium of ideas. Furthermore, ideas don't stop at their initial manifestation. A single image, a single name (did someone say Snakes on a Plane?) can spawn a fan base, a market for the next big thing, and with new technologies to empower 'everyday people' to contribute this image, becomes an animation, which becomes a film, which inspires a website, which is used as the basis for a game, which spawn fan fiction.....
