Interactive game table

Back

Project done for my study Interaction Design. This is the final presentation. The project was to create two identical game tables, not in view of eachother, where people without any knowledge of the working of the game were invited to play. The player not only had to find out how to play the game, it was also important to realise there actually was another player, and that cooperation was needed to complete the game's goals. The project focussed on people's ability to learn new interfaces and to cooperate with unseen others. The pieces, with coloured leds, are tracked by a webcam underneath the glass surface. The software used was RoboRealm(.com) and Processing(.org). The projection was done with a beamer, also underneath the glass plate.
