Pirates! Royal Sloop vs. Frigate
BackMe fighting a frigate. My Royal Sloop is fully upgraded: Copper plating - tighter turning Cotton sails - more speed Triple hammocks - 50% more crew Iron scantlings - resist more damage Chain shot - sail damage shot Grape shot - crew damage shot Fine grain powder - fire farther Bronze cannons - cluster fire They can change between 3 tactics: sinking/slowing me with round shot, trying to bord my ship and outman me or trying to escape. Basically, avoid getting hit and try to make them less likely to get away with a few round shots and then going for their sails with chain shot. Once their mast is broken, they will surrender when you get too close. This means that in fact you don't need grape shot unless you are fighting Montalban, Raymondo or Mendoza. They will always duel you upon bording so it's a good idea to kill those crews first.
