Outlook Video Aug '08 1/3 - Pride Edition, Pink Triangle, San Jose
BackEvery year during June, our traveling video teams scurry from city to city to capture scenes and sounds of the various pride events. During July, the pride video segments are edited into our favorite show of the season. Raymond Donald Hong did a fantastic job with the final editing. We are proud to present our annual pride show for you to see during August. The Pink Brick recipient is a person or institution which has done significant harm to the interests of LGBT people. This year's Pink Brick Award was personally presented to Bill O'Reilly on national television by SF Pride Parade Committee President Mikayla Connell. Next, Raymond Donald Hong takes us to Twin Peaks overlooking San Francisco for the Pink Triangle Ceremony. Assembly member Mark Leno recounts how entire groups of people under the Nazi regime had their civil rights incrementally stripped away. Kim Lawson and Eric Chong report from San Jose on the city's parade and pride celebration, which occurred two weeks before San Francisco. Outlook Video not only covered the parade, but we were in it too.
