A Post-Atheist Manifesto (Re-Post)

Sorry it took so long. -------- Self-righteous religious types, who can't imagine that they could be wrong about their Bronze Age beliefs, naively aspire for a post-atheist world in which everyone is a believer—"once again"—just like themselves. I anticipate a different future. One in which non-belief is the default (due to the ascendancy of logic, science and common sense) where the faithful have no recourse but to define themselves as "the other." In this post-atheist world, labels—such as atheist, agnostic, free-thinker, or bright are unnecessary and outdated -- because as a people, we have re-started with a clean slate about how we think about ourselves and our place in the universe.
