What About Now: A Jonas Story (LLW 2nd Season) Ch 21
BackChapter 21- (Kim's POV) "Nicholas what the hell are we doing? You wake me up at 8:30, you drive me to some Barbies R Us to get me dressed up and you bring me here to your jet. I'm sick of all the surprise shit, so just tell me where we are going." Nick was shocked at her reaction, but he went up to her and gave her a quick kiss and hug. "Kim I'm sorry this is getting annoying for you, but I really want to keep this a surprise, so can you play along for a couple more hours till we get there?" Kim rolled her eyes and then smiled when she saw the worried look on Nick's face. "Ok, but after you spent a crap load of money on these earrings, it better not be some ridiculous fancy getaway." Nick smiled. "It's not really fancy, but I guarantee you will love it. By the way, I am glad to see you are wearing your earrings." Kim rolled her eyes again as Nick took her hand and led her to the jet. He helped her up the steps, and once inside, Kim gasped. The jet was the craziest thing she had seen besides their tour bus. It was like another home in a plane. Nick smiled when he saw Kim's reaction as he sat in one of the seats. "Kim you can sit down you know: it's not illegal." Kim came shook her head to come back to reality and then sat next to Nick. "This is the coolest thing ever." Kim forgot that she was annoyed about this whole thing: she was excited now. She was thinking of every possible place Nick could take her, but she couldn't narrow it down. Then, when she thought that Nick was taking her out of state, she became worried. "Nick, you aren't taking me anywhere too far are you? I mean I don't want to like go across the country or anything." Nick laughed at how concerned Kim was about this plane ride. "No we aren't going that far. I would have offered to go in the limo, but it would be too long of a drive. We will get there much faster in the jet." Kim sat back in her seat and closed her eyes, wondering where they were going. She didn't even notice that she fell asleep until she felt Nick kiss her on the cheek. "We're here." Kim opened her eyes and looked out one of the windows. All she could see was a huge lake and a beautiful nature scene: the ones you only see in pictures. In fact, she had only seen this place in pictures. She had wanted to visit this place for so long, but never really got the chance to. "Welcome to Lake Tahoe, may all your dreams come true." Kim laughed at Nick's impression of a tour guide. Nick led her off the jet again and then from a distance she saw a table lit with candles on a dock. She smiled up at Nick and gave him a kiss. "I love it, thank you so much." They both sat at the table and enjoyed a nice gourmet meal, and then afterwards they sat on the dock, just looking out into the lake. Nick put his arm around Kim and she had her head on his shoulder. It was moments like this she enjoyed the most: just being close to Nick was all she ever needed. She was glad that she and Nick made it through all those months during the tour. After seeing what Kevin and Joe were going through, she was relieved to know that she would never have to worry about going through the same thing. If another tour came up, she was one hundred percent confident that their relationship would be able to survive, even though they were so far away from each other. After a few hours, Nick noticed it was getting late, so he led Kim back towards the jet. Once seated, Kim put her head on Nick's shoulder again. "Today was amazing, thank you for everything." "You deserve it Kim. You know how much I love you, so I wanted to do something special for you. To be honest, this was going to be your birthday present, but I was too excited to wait." Kim laughed. "I like when you laugh." Kim picked her head up and looked up at Nick. "Well I like when you make me laugh." Nick smiled and then leaned in to kiss Kim.
