Awesome Dylan. I'm thrilled with your excitement. I have box turtles & keep hatchlings. If his shell is soft, he's new. Go online & research care b/c shell care & diet is extremely important. They are very delicate & suseptible to animals, lawn mowers, etc. so taking him inside would be good. Great find! Enjoy!

Great find, I would have been so excited. Box turtles are amazing. The half toe is interesting, it would be cool to see if it grows a nail later on (:

I received a box turtle that looks like this turtle, baby, about a week ago. He/She was found in Oklahoma. Mine has three toes but with that almost fourth toe. I wonder if the the three toe box turtles loose that almost fourth toe as they grow up. My turtle has a little bit taller carapace but the coloring looks the same as this guy you have. I love him so much. Right now he is living in part of my garden. He comes to his rock where I feed him wax worms. He's the cutest thing ever.
