Happy to help with anything of a Gouldian nature - he was one in a billion and opened my ears.

to apropermonk and polyphony,
Greetings:According to'Wondrous Strange': "His(Gould)third program,Richard Strauss:A Personal View, broadcast in October 1962,was a sort of replay of his all-Strauss Stratford concert of the previous year, and once again his performances, including the first movement of the Violin Sonata(with Schumsky),songs with Lois Marshall, and music from the Bourgeois gentilhomme Suite, illustrated a polemical defence of Strauss' style." There's your answer.Broadcast in 1962.
